The 2008-09 CALS Ambassadors

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Ambassadors are a group of students representing all departments within our college who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and student leadership.  Ambassadors are selected through an application and interview process after having been nominated by their professors, faculty, staff and their peers.  By representing the student body, Ambassadors have been placed into a position of leadership and service where they represent the college at various receptions, activities and functions.

College ambassadors have an important responsibility to assist in recruiting prospective students by visiting high schools in the state of Idaho and neighboring states, representing CALS at college/career fairs, and by hosting the annual Ag Days event on campus.   The Ambassadors receive two class credits in the fall and one in the spring when their class requirements are met.  It is a terrific opportunity for sophomores, juniors, and seniors to get involved in many aspects of recruiting and marketing for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and helping to put the “student face” on our college.
