to the Sandpoint R&E Center
We are
located in the City of Sandpoint between the Bonner County
Airport and Sand Creek. The SREC is bordered on the north by
East Mountain View Drive and the south by the railroad tracks
at Baldy Mountain Road.
From the
south:
-
Follow
US 95 north from the direction of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. As
you cross the two-mile Long Bridge across the Pend Oreille
River, turn right at the orange caution traffic light onto
First Avenue. Follow First Avenue until it ends and turn
left onto Cedar Street. Go through the traffic lights at
Second and Fifth Avenues, across Sixth Avenue, and turn
right onto Boyer Avenue. Follow Boyer Avenue 1.2 miles
north across two sets of railroad tracks. As you cross the
second set of tracks, our fields will be on your right.
Take the first driveway to your right past the second set
of railroad tracks.
From the
west

Follow
US 2 (Highway 200) east from the direction of Priest
River, Idaho. As you enter Sandpoint, turn left at the
second traffic light onto Boyer Avenue. Follow Boyer
Avenue 1.4 miles north. Take the first driveway to the
right past the second set of railroad tracks.
From the
east
-
Follow
Highway 200 west from the direction of Hope and Clark
Fork, Idaho. As you enter Kootenai, go through the traffic
light at McGhee Road and make a right turn onto the
Kootenai Cutoff Road. Follow the Kootenai Cutoff Road 1.1
miles through the traffic light at US 95 (the road name
changes to the Schweitzer Cutoff Road). Immediately after
crossing a bridge across Sand Creek, turn left onto
Boyer Avenue for 1.3 miles. Turn into the first driveway
on your left after you pass East Mountain View Drive. If
you come to a set of railroad tracks, you have gone too
far.
From the
north

Follow
US 95 south from the direction of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. As
you enter Ponderay you will come to a traffic light. Wal
Mart will be immediately ahead and to your left. Turn
right at the traffic light onto the Schweitzer Cutoff Road
and travel 0.3 miles. Immediately after crossing a bridge
across Sand Creek, turn left onto Boyer Avenue for
1.3 miles. Turn into the first driveway on your left after
you pass East Mountain View Drive. If you come to a set of
railroad tracks, you have gone too far.
