The Idaho
Center for Potato Research and Education is a virtual center made up of
faculty and staff located at the University of Idaho campus, four research
and education centers, and numerous county extension offices.
Implementation of biological control as part of an
Integrated Pest Management program, the evaluation of
weeds as potential inoculum sources for aphid-mediated transmission of viruses,
and the optimization of insecticide applications to reduce
virus transmission in the field.
Provide
extension/outreach IPM programs, technical support,
and educational materials that increase the working
knowledge of county educators, crop advisors, and other
agricultural clientele.
