Dr. Ramsay is an Assistant Professor of Foods & Nutrition at the University of Idaho in Coeuríd Alene. She teaches nutrition and dietetic students in areas of life cycle nutrition, child nutrition, nutrient education, sports nutrition. She has worked as a sports nutritionist, nutrition consultant, and educator for the past ten years. Samantha holds a bachelorís degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and a masterís degree in Human Nutrition from Washington State University, and she earned her doctorate, in Adult Organizational Learning and Leadership from the University of Idaho. She has served on the board for the Idaho Dietetic Association. She serves on the Idaho Dietetic Licensure Board, and is involved in many health related research projects. She works on behalf of the health and well-being of children and adults. Dr Ramsayís research interest is in feeding young children, child nutrition, and adult learning to feeding young children. She has published in peer reviewed journals and she has presented before audiences of educators, health professionals, and professional colleagues.
