Volunteers Needed at Idaho Fairs for Ag Pavilion
Each year the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) joins organizations from across Idaho in a special effort to tell the story of agriculture at the Agriculture Pavilion at two Idaho fairs.
Dates for the 2006 Ag Pavilion are:
Aug. 18-27--Western Idaho Fair, Boise
Aug. 30-Sept. 4--Twin Falls County Fair, Filer
The Ag Pavilion is coordinated by the non-profit Food Producers of Idaho, dedicated to educating the public about Idaho's food and fiber industries. Volunteers are needed to staff the pavilion and assist with questions the public may have about the pavilion or Idaho's agricultural industry.
Our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends are invited to take a few hours to help the college by volunteering at one of the fairs. This is a great opportunity to show your CALS and Vandal pride.
If you are interested in participating, please call 208.885.6446 or send an e-mail to CALSAlumni@uidaho.edu.
