What does the 150th anniversary of the Morrill Act signed by President Abraham Lincoln mean to us in Idaho today? This magazine issue revisits Lincoln’s dream for Idaho and all other states when he signed the Morrill Act in 1862, three years before he signed the Emancipation Proclamation. The act created the University of Idaho, among others, with a college designated to help Idaho farmers feed our state and the nation. Other stories include edible weeds; diversity impacts of our faculty; no-knead wheat bread; ways new technologies help us connect with you, and much more.
