Despite a chilling number of vine-killing winters, Idaho's wine industry is coming into its own. UI scientists are contributing research into grape varieties and production practices. UI faculty, staff, and students of science use hands-on methods to share their expertise and excitement with school children. A veterinary pathologist for 35 years, Dr. Bruce Anderson studies corpses and crime scenes to discover why an animal took sick or died. Many Idahoans aren't consuming nearly enough calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Now Idaho extension educators are on a mission to help us all bone up. |
