Cabbage aphid colony

Cabbage Aphid
Brevicoryne brassicae (Linnaeus)

These aphids are pale green and up to 3 mm in size. They are covered with a grayish “bloom” of wax secreted from their skin. Colonies feeding on canola can stop terminal growth, reducing plant size and yield. Leaves and other plant parts can be curled or deformed when populations become large.
