You need to keep in mind that you shouldn’t make broad conclusions for dietary advice based on single studies or anecdotal evidence – you need to look at the entire body of evidence.

It’s easy to get lost in all of the nutrition information out there. Some are tempted to focus on the importance of one or two particular nutrients without much regard for others. It is important to remember that nutrients work in a very complex system – the human body. Nutrients interact with each other, and act differently in one individual vs another sometimes.

And don’t forget the human behavior factor. Knowing nutrition does not always translate to good nutrition practices. The goal of nutrition is to enhance human health. You can come up with a fabulously nutritious diet, but if it is not reasonable or palatable, people won’t adopt it.
