The mission and role of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Safety Committee is to provide an umbrella unit for departmental safety committees. This committee will:

Support the promotion by departmental safety committees of awareness and practice of safety procedures among the students, staff and faculty of the college.

Coordinate the activities of departmental safety committees.

Provide a non-confrontational means for safety concerns of students and staff to be brought forward for consideration and recommended action.

Review the college's accident/incident experience and suggest actions that might be taken to reduce occurrences.
