Mission The mission and role of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Safety Committee is to provide an umbrella unit for departmental safety committees.
This committee will:
- Support the promotion by departmental safety committees of awareness and practice of safety procedures among the students, staff and faculty of the college.
- Coordinate the activities of departmental safety committees.
- Provide a non-confrontational means for safety concerns of students and staff to be brought forward for consideration and recommended action.
- Review the college's accident/incident experience and suggest actions that might be taken to reduce occurrences.
