Revolutionizing the decision-making approach to water resources
management
WOW! --
Waters of the West & Water Resources Graduate Program
“Water
of the West: Towards a Sustainable, Interdisciplinary Water
Resources Program,” was awarded a $1.6 million grant from UI
over five years, led by Jan Boll, professor of Biological and
Agricultural Engineering, to launch a water resources graduate
program and develop a methodology to conduct integrated basin
analyses.
The
educational program will train students to address complex water
resources issues by building disciplinary depth in concert with
multidisciplinary breadth to understand focused problems and
communicate across disciplines.
To
accomplish this objective, the program is being designed to have
three overlapping degree focus areas:
-
Water Resources Engineering & Science
-
Water
Resources Science & Management
-
Water Resources Law, Management & Policy
The
integrated, interdisciplinary graduate program in Water
Resources started in Fall 2007. For more information, go to
