A Master of Science degree in
Applied Economics will prepare you to use economic and
business concepts along with analytical tools to solve problems
-- problems like those faced by agricultural marketing
companies, natural resource agencies, farms, ranches, and rural
communities. Or, the M.S. could be your start in the pursuit of
a Ph.D.
Either way, the graduate program in
Applied Economics at the University of Idaho has been
designed to help you develop the analytical and decision making
skills needed for management, production, marketing, and policy
making careers in agriculture. Graduate training includes the
areas of commercial agriculture, natural resources, and rural
development economics. Also, an emphasis is put on training in
international agricultural development and marketing.
The M.S. thesis option is offered as a
stand-alone degree, or with emphasis areas, which may be
selected in any of the following three areas: Agricultural
Economics; Natural Resources; Agribusiness. Students may take a
non-thesis option M. S. degree. |
