Ph.D., Moscow State University; B.S., Moscow Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Russia

Research:
Develops and conducts basic research in plant virology. Research projects address virus diseases of importance in major Idaho crops. The program is focused on virus-host interactions and pathogenicity factors in potato viruses. Applied research emphasizes virus detection, strain differentiation, and control of virus diseases in potato, legumes, sugar beet, cereals, and grapevine
